Join award winning artist, Kim Barrick for an intensive two or three day painting workshop bringing to life wildlife and other animals. Ms. Barrick brings her lively teaching style to this intimate subject of capturing creatures of all kinds-from bees to bison-on canvas. Students will learn how to take paintable photographs of animals to build an inventory of of their own reference material and gain insights for determining which photos are suitable to use in the studio. Strong composition, drawing skills and brushwork will be emphasized during class. Students will work from their own photographs, photographs from friends or family (permission granted to use them) or samples provided from the artist’s collection. Photos of pets, equestrian or farm animals will be covered as well. Class size will be limited and demonstrations included.
